In July of 1998 I saw a Yo-Hans performing on the BBC’s children’s breakfast TV. It instantly captured my imagination and has weirdly been one of the defining events of my career.

Here’s a video of him on Blue Peter from the same time:

Hans became a minor celebrity in the UK, even featuring in a pop hit “Walk The Dog Like An Egyptian”.  At the time Hans worked for Playmaxx (now owned by Duncan) and has gone on to setup his own successful Yo-Yo company, YoYoFactory.

In 2004 I met Hans a couple of times, he’s a nice guy and passionate about what he does. I recently picked up his old signature Yo-Yo from eBay to add to the museum.
